About this role
We are looking for candidates working towards a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Some previous experience in a Manufacturing and lab set up preferred.
Requirements/ responsibilities include:
- Ability to work on manufacturing coatings and testing in a lab-based environment.
- Basic knowledge of quality tools like DOE, 8D, FMEA, SPC to support manufacturing and technical teams. Designing and conducting experiments, data consolidation, and performing analytical procedures is a plus.
- Working with manufacturing team members to validate and qualify finished goods for order fulfillment. Support manufacturing operations by making safety data sheets and labels.
- Ability to work with team approach, contribute for problem solving and continual improvement initiatives.
- Conducting tests to qualify new products that are being developed and communicating results of the testing to the project team.
- Working with the broader technical team to perform quality and calibration checks on various pieces of equipment.
- Maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
- Developing and maintaining electronic and paper Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) date source and ensure appropriate MSDA are available to all employees and customers.
- Supporting the lab in maintaining laboratory conditions and adhering to procedures that facilitate a safe work environment, cleanliness, and productivity for all lab users.
The position is located in Malden, MA and is accessible via the Orange Line. This is a full-time role with excellent benefits.
